I just adore this show so so much. The settled, comfortable dynamic between Holmes and Watson, the absolute joy they take in being together, the way that they just care so much about each other. All of Holmes’ little mannerisms and quirks and the constant struggles with boredom and depression, his refusal to eat and otherwise take care of himself, the fact that he gets cold and needs to be wrapped in multiple blankets! I’m fond of both Watsons but Hardwicke’s Watson is my favorite, he just has such a kind, warm vibe (while still being able to push back when necessary) that goes so well with this tightly-wound Holmes. They’re just so good to each other and I love them so much.

I also love Mrs. Hudson especially in this version and would love to see her if you feel like including her! She just adores her boys and I love the way they both interact with her.

Fandom likes: Reichenbach trauma (there is SO MUCH Reichenbach trauma here), Watson’s chronic pain, Holmes annihilating his health because he refuses to take care of himself. Wrapping Holmes in lots of blankets! Early developing friendship, Watson initially getting involved in Holmes’ cases/learning his methods. Quiet moments at Baker Street, times together on cases. I am so so fascinated by the eldritch horror in this universe, especially combined with Holmes’ teetering sanity. He is trying so desperately to hold on and keep himself stable, but circumstances are just so against him. I adore how utterly steadfast his Watson is, just so devoted and so staunchly supportive and encouraging when Holmes starts to lose faith in himself. And he has so much trauma of his own! They are just both so supportive of each other and have so much respect for each other.

I am also interested in the whole messy Holmes family situation with Mycroft, so feel free to include him! I would love to see him and Sherlock work through some of their issues. Or feel free to bring in anyone else from ACD Holmes canon! How are they coping with the eldritch horrors?

I am so here for the creepiness and horror and worldbuilding potential of this canon and would love to see any exploration of it. I am so so curious about what Holmes and Watson are up to, as well as the larger Restorationist movement. I’d love to see how they met and started working together, expanding on the time period of the story itself, or post-canon battling for the freedom of humanity.

There is so much potential for fun worldbuilding here and I just adore the dynamic these two have going. Crow is so precious and enthusiastic and sweet, and I love how Doyle is settling in here and learning to cope with the whole hell-hound situation. They both have a lot of trauma in their backstories and I would love to see more on that (how many other misconceptions does Crow have about what's "normal" between humans? given his assorted comments about past roommates and the "if we have sexual congress, will you stop being mad at me?" scenes I feel like he's probably been manipulated quite a lot).

Feel free to bring in any of the other characters, or introduce ones from the ACD canon that don't make an appearance in this book!

Fandom likes: Wings, so much good wing stuff! Backstory exploration, more developing friendship/relationship, further cases together. Worldbuilding, especially of how Crow differs from other angels. Crow keeping Doyle company during hell-hound transformations, Doyle helping Crow deal with whatever the wing binding spell thing does. Healing from trauma together, Doyle’s chronic pain/disability, finding accommodations for each other. Did I mention wings? Because wings are so good.

I will never recover from these two spending so much time together with their weekly checkers/draughts game, and the way they bicker so comfortably. This Crowley is so traumatized and snappy, and I love Aziraphale’s expertise at handling him and talking him into things (and calling Crowley’s ideas stupid when he thinks they’re stupid). The way that Crowley grovels whenever he’s talking to Satan just breaks my heart, and I love how clearly terrified he is, and how much his anger at the whole world is a defense mechanism. Aziraphale is so sunshiny and willfully naïve at times, but also SO brave and absolutely willing to throw down when necessary.

Fandom likes: Early developing friendship, through the ages, the start of the Arrangement (which they’ve had for the full 6k years in this version??). Helping each other cope with trauma, taking care of each other, Crowley’s endless complaints about what humans haven’t invented yet. Crowley’s nightclub (has he had past ones?), Aziraphale’s museum job (what else has he done?), their eleven years of driving all over Britain together. Worldbuilding for Heaven/Hell. Post almost Apocalypse! Crowley reluctantly accepting affection! Ducks!

Rome (TV 2005) 

- Lucius Vorenus, Titus Pullo

I just enjoy the hell out of these two and their dynamic. They have such totally different outlooks on life but are so loyal to each other and so protective. I adore Vorenus just being SO serious and duty-oriented while Pullo would rather hang out and enjoy life. Pullo trying to explain the way that people or life in general actually works in contrast to Vorenus's black and white mentality is always great. Since things are a bit ambiguous in the finale, I like to think that they faked Vorenus's death so he wouldn't get executed, and are now happily carrying on with life.

Fandom likes: These two being on the outskirts of historical events, slice of life in Rome/on campaign. Patching each other up after battles gone wrong or other injuries, taking care of each other. Being stranded together, traveling together, being in isolated situations. Vorenus being his way too honest self and failing to understand why that can be a bad thing, while Pullo understands the danger but goes along with it anyway. Either of them getting in trouble and needing to be rescued by the other. Moments between crises where they can just hang out.
